Apprentice 3 N2 Interface

The Apprentice 3 Controller can be integrated into a Building Automation System (BAS) that uses the N2 communications protocol. The host system can then poll the status of the Apprentice 3 Controller inputs and outputs and issue ON/OFF commands to the Apprentice 3’s relay outputs.

Configuration:
- The Apprentice 3 must be equipped with a N2 add-on module that can be addressed between 1 and 255. The network cable is a RS 485 two-wire shielded twisted pair
- Once plugged into the lighting control panel, BAS software can be programmed to control relays in the Apprentice 3 panel
- All local control features for the relay panel will continue to be operable
